Your Health Clinic at Woodville recognises that a person’s health and wellbeing are personal and that our role is to provide healthcare in a manner best suited to each of the people who visit us for advice and support.
Adelaide Medical Solutions is owned by South Australians who first set up a general practice in the western suburbs of Adelaide in 1980. From that small beginning, we now provide healthcare and medical advice to South Australians from 4 clinics across Adelaide.
Visiting specialists also provide support for our Clinic in the areas of geriatrics, endocrinology, ear nose and throat, surgical paediatrics and obesity management.
Other healthcare services are also available within our Clinic. There is a dental clinic, an audiologist, a pharmacy, pathology, psychology, radiology, an optometrist, podiatrist, physiotherapist, diabetes educator and dietitians.
As a mixed billing practice, we generally offer bulk billing to concession card holders, pension cardholders and children under the age of 16. Please note that this may vary between doctors. Detailed information on billing arrangements follows.
We are open 6 days a week, from 8.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 8.00am to 12.30pm Saturdays.

Woodville Information & Policies
Consultations are by appointment only. Please advise our receptionist when calling if you need to see a doctor urgently.
If there is a medical emergency, one of our staff members will attend to you immediately.
To reduce waiting times and ensure the best possible practice experience, please book a double appointment for medicals, mental health, pap smears and complex health issues.
Please book an appointment for each person if more than one family member wishes to see the Doctor.
Please give the Clinic 24 hours’ notice if you cannot keep an appointment, and to avoid incurring a fee.
After Hours Care
After-hours care is available via our after-hours Locum Doctor service, “Family Home Doctors”. The Locum Doctor may liaise with the Clinic Doctors if medically required.
At Your Health Clinics, we strive to provide easy and equitable access to our health care services. To facilitate this, we offer 24-hour online access to our appointment booking system, as well as face-to-face and telehealth communication options.
Your Health Clinics work by appointment only and while we will always assist in the case of medical emergencies and will offer next available appointments where possible, we are not a walk-in clinic and cannot provide immediate face-to-face or telehealth access to doctors and nurses.
Our friendly administration staff will be your first point of contact and are trained to triage your call, this may require follow up questions to most appropriately determine the urgency of your health needs. Our administration team can also provide you with up-to-date clinic information and policies, assist you to manage your appointment booking and ensure that you can access the care that you require.

Home visits may be available for regular patients if you cannot visit the clinic and live in close vicinity.
Alternatively, our after-hours service can provide a Locum Doctor visit to you. Call the Clinic number to be transferred to our Locum service after hours or call “Family Home Doctors” directly on 1300 695 628.
Pensioners, Health Care Card holders & Children under 16 years will be charged the Medicare rebate only.
For all other patients, we expect payment of the full fee on the day of your consultation; this includes a $30 gap fee plus the applicable Medicare Rebate fee.

Payment may be made by EFTPOS or credit card. We can forward your claim rebate direct to Medicare.
For minor surgical procedures (e.g., removal of skin lesions), there will be a gap payment of $30 ($20 for pensioners) to cover the costs of surgical materials and dressings. There is a $10 charge for Liquid Nitrogen.
Failure to Attend
Please notify us 24 hours in advance if you cannot attend an appointment. A $20 fee ($40 for double appointments) will apply if you fail to attend an appointment. Medicare does not cover this fee.

Abbott Pathology is a South Australian Pathology Laboratory providing high quality, diagnostic Pathology Services to medical specialists, general practitioners, commercial and Government organisations in South Australia.
Please feel free to talk to our Doctors, Nurses or Receptionists about any issues with our service, Specialists, diagnostics referrals or any other aspect of the health system.
